What we set out to do

After SRM, we bought a commercial motor so we could put our attention on the rest of the rocket. The sample motors we tested all fired cleanly.

What happened

We launched on 11 Mar 2025 and streamed it live. The motor exploded about 1 s after ignition and destroyed the flight computer. Nothing was recovered from its SD card.

What we changed next

For Homi Shatam II we went back to making our own motor, with the E5 as its target, and built a thrust rig so every static fire is measured.
